Kristopher & Nailah

OUR STORY

Flashback to 2014
Welcome to the beginning of Kris and Nailah’s forever love story. At a local event in Bloomington, Kris first laid eyes on Nailah and immediately knew she was “The One.” Numbers were exchanged and the courting began. After months of cheeky back and forth banter, Nailah finally agreed to a date. After discovering mutual love of music, fashion, travel, and entertainment, it wasn’t long before Kris asked to spend forever with her!
Fast forward 5 years later, Kris popped the question --- and Nailah said yes! Described by their friends as “two peas in a pod,” Kris and Nailah spend time together by cooking delicious food, going on walks with their ADORABLE dogs Benji and Gohan, cultivating and growing businesses together, and creating art through channels such as music and fashion.
After two and a half years of being engaged (and procrastinating on planning!), the time is right for us to officially tie the knot. We are so excited!

Wedding FAQ
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is conservative, formal attire. Ladies are welcome to wear traditional Indian outfits such as a lehenga, saree, or shalwar kameez. Men are also welcome to wear traditional Indian outfits such as sherwani or shalwar kameez. We have compiled some suggestions on websites to purchase traditional authentic Indian outfits.
For local brick and mortar stores, we would recommend the following locations:
For online stores, we would recommend the following:
Indian Wedding Saree
Utsav Fashion
Kalki Fashion
Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and mehndi celebration will be taking place outdoors. While the event will take place outdoors, the house will be open for guests, so we will be requiring a mask for guests that enter the indoor space.
What COVID precautions will we be taking?
With COVID-19 still a growing concern, we have opted for an intimate ceremony. Masks, socially distant seating, and ample sanitizing stations will be provided. As much as we want everyone to be able to celebrate in person, we do ask that if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to COVID-19 within two weeks of the wedding to please stay home. We are also strongly encouraging all our guests to be fully vaccinated prior to the wedding celebration. We are looking forward to celebrating with you!
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
Where should I park?
The event will take place in a residential neighborhood. Street parking will be available.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Yes, we encourage all our friends and family to post pictures on to their social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #KrisAndNailah so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
